The packaging of your goods is your responsibility. It needs to be solid enough to protect the contents and designed so that packaging and contents do not damage other cargo.


We would remind you that our aircraft holds are not containerised, which means your packaging needs to be robust enough to withstand contact with other cargo during transport.


To make life easier for you, Air Tahiti sells a range of special packaging at Tahiti-Faa'a Airport.

Transport your baguettes in the best possible conditions using our bread boxes, which hold up to 20 baguettes per box.

Dimensions: 77 x 27 x 27,5 cm (30 x 11 x 11 in). Unit price: XPF 480.

Take advantage of our specially designed packaging for frozen or chilled goods.

Make a weight saving of 4 kg (9 lb) for the same volume compared to a standard icebox, thereby considerably cutting the cost of transport.

Two different sizes are available:

  • Standard size (58 x 37 x 29 cm – 23 x 15 x 11 in) for miscellaneous items, e.g. chicken thighs. Unit price: XPF 750.
  • Large size (140 x 40 x 20 cm – 55 x 16 x 8 in) for large items, such as a veal calf. Unit price: XPF 1,000.
     

Please pack your items in plastic beforehand to prevent any leakage during carriage.

Some dangerous goods can be transported by air, provided they are packaged according to precise rules.

Air Tahiti sells a range of specially designed packaging for this type of cargo, which complies with transport standards.

Cages allowing you to transport your animals are available for rent. Four sizes are available:

  • 43 x 29 x 21 cm (17 x 11 x 8 in) at the price of XPF 2,000
  • 53 x 42 x 41 cm (21 x 17 x 16 in) at the price of XPF 2,500
  • 68 x 51 x 50 cm (27 x 20 x 20 in) at the price of XPF 3,500
  • 90 x 62 x 70 cm (35 x 24 x 28 in) at the price of XPF 4,500

You must provide the relevant locking systems.

The cages must be returned upon receipt at the airport by the recipient.
