Several fares are available on the same flight, each with a limited number of seats. They can be combined to form a round trip. Fares are subject to change without notice.
Rarotonga > Tahiti fares are given in XPF as an indication. The base fare is a New Zealand dollar (NZD) fare converted into XPF according to the IATA conversion rate in effect on the day of ticketing.
To travel to the Cook Islands, you must have:
- a valid passport for the entire stay and up to 6 months after the stay in the Cook Islands ;
- and a confirmed return ticket or onward ticket with all necessary documents for the next destination.
In the following cases, a visa is also required:
- if you are visiting for more than 31 days, or
- if you are on a business trip of more than 21 days.
Procedures for visas and health-related documents (COVID) may change. Therefore, we invite you to inquire directly on www.visahq.com to know the necessary documents to have during the trip.
Flights are scheduled :
- From Tahiti: Wednesday (operated by Air Rarotonga) and Saturday (operated by Air Tahiti)
- From Rarotonga: Tuesday (operated by Air Rarotonga) and Saturday (operated by Air Tahiti).
The aircraft is a Saab 340B Plus with 26 seats when it's operated by Air Rarotonga.
Check-in information for flights departing from Tahiti :
- When the flight is operated by Air Tahiti, check-in is located at the domestic terminal, while boarding is located at the international terminal.
- When the flight is operated by Air Rarotonga, check-in and boarding are both located at the international terminal.
Check-in is 2 hours prior to flight departure and check-in counters will close 1 hour before flight departure.
Check-in is at the counters only.
The transport of your luggage in the cabin and in the hold is free of charge under the following conditions:
Cabin baggage:
- 1 piece of cabin luggage per passenger (child or adult)
- Maximum dimensions (including wheels and handles): 55cm x 35cm x 25cm
- Maximum weight: 7 kg.
Checked baggage:
- Maximum dimensions (including wheels and handles): 158cm
- The authorized weight per passenger is
- 5kg for infants,
- 23kg for children and adults (Y, S, V classes) or 46kg (Z class).
Beyond this weight, excess baggage will be charged according to the current rate and accepted according to flight availability.
Unaccompanied children:
Children between 4 and 12 years old traveling alone must be reported as UM (Unaccompanied Minor) at the time of booking.
In addition, an Authorisation to Leave the Territory (AST) is required by the competent authorities.

Passengers requiring special assistance:
Persons holding a card for persons with reduced mobility* receive a 25% discount on the adult fare, excluding airport taxes and fees.
*Disability card or card for persons with reduced mobility or mobility inclusion card or white card for 100% pensioners or card bearing the mention "disability" or ONACVG card mentioning a disability of 85% or more or card mentioning that the passenger suffers from a total or partial physical, mental or developmental disability.
Passenger requiring a second seat:
The seats on our aircraft are 43 cm wide, which corresponds to a maximum waist circumference of approximately 135 cm.
If your waist circumference is greater than 135 cm, we recommend that you reserve an additional seat.
You will receive a 50% discount on the adult one-way fare for the second seat, excluding airport taxes and fees.
Animals and plants are not accepted on these flights.
