Air Tahiti enhances fleet with additional orders of ATRs

We are delighted to announce the signing of a purchase contract for 4 new ATR 72-600s.

Air Tahiti and the aircraft manufacturer ATR announced the signing of a purchase contract for 4 new ATR 72-600s on July 24th 2024, during the Farnborough Airshow (United Kingdom). This order complements the purchase of 1 ATR72-600 announced during the Singapore Airshow in February.

The first aircraft will join the fleet in December 2024, with an additional four ATR-72s arriving in 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028, respectively.

This will expand the fleet with 5 new ATR72 aircraft over the next three years, modernizing the current fleet.

Air Tahiti, a historical partner of the aircraft manufacturer ATR for 38 years, is continuing its fleet renewal plan to constantly offer the best service to its passengers. Furthermore, these new ATRs feature the latest technologies, including next-generation Pratt & Whitney Canada engines with enhanced efficiency and a vibration reduction system.

This attests Air Tahiti’s renewed confidence in this type of regional aircraft, which has low emissions and is particularly well-suited for the French Polynesian network.
